The tyres can be identifed by brand, size DOT code and tyre mould number. Which are outlined below. The last four digits of the DOT code indicate the production period (week/year).

General Tire will credit the full purchase price of the replacement tyre (including costs for mounting, balancing etc. if applicable) for all exchanges made on new General Tire tyres until September 30, 2021. After September 30, 2021 the compensation will based on the currently valid version of the General Tire warranty policy.
The impacted tyres may experience sudden air loss or belt edge separation which could lead to partial or full tread loss. General Tire has not received any reports of accidents or injuries resulting from this condition.

Our voluntary exchange programme started on March 19th, 2021. We have informed the DVSA and are in touch with our exclusive UK distributor, Micheldever, to implement the programme. The programme will run for all exchanges made on new General Tire tyres until September 30, 2021. After September 30, 2021 the compensation will based on the currently valid version of the General Tire warranty policy.
We strongly recommend that you check the tyres of your car before you use it again. The tyres concerned have be exchanged as soon as possible.
