ROAM Overlanding- Adrian Abrahams

My journey with General Tire actually started many years ago, almost 8 years ago in fact. I actually had a single cab VW Amarok and when I bought it, it had some highway tyres on it. I needed to put a fresh set of tyres on and knew that I was going to go overlanding with this car. I needed all-terrain tyres, and I settled on the General Grabber AT. Those tyres went everywhere!

After trying various other tyre brands, I decided to try the Grabber AT3 LT on my Hilux. I really loved them and did over 55,000 kms with them through really tough places. The only reason I took them off is that I swapped to the ATX’s. Since we’ve put them on, we’ve done over 45,000 kms around Southern Africa, through Namibia and Botswana and they’ve performed exceptionally well through all of those different environments.

The journey with General Tire has been a long one – it’s sort of always been the tyre for me, and I do believe in their motto “anywhere is possible” because I’ve been everywhere man!
